How do I contact someone who interests me?
You need to be a subscriber to do this. When you have subscribed you can contact another member by sending an email, an instant message or an email flirt.
Why am I not getting very many responses from other members?
If you're not getting many responses from other members, here are a few suggestions to help. If none of the suggestions below work, please feel free to email us by clicking here.
• Post photos in your profile. People like to talk to people they can see, so the more photos you have on, the more comfortable people will be in contacting you. In fact, most members only search for and write to people with photos and that's why members with photos get 15 times more emails! Your photos should show more than just what you look like - they should communicate your personality. The first photo should be a headshot and the others can be more creative. Remember to make them clear, current and in-focus! • Make your profile more descriptive. Short and snappy wording will make you stand out in the dating crowd and, more importantly, attract the people who are right for you. The key to writing great profile descriptions is in the detail. Give specific examples of the things that make you different, interesting and fun to be with. Write like you talk. • Write great personal introductory emails. When contacting other members, remember to ask yourself, "Why am I writing to this person?" and then tell him/her. Flattery, writing about things you have in common, and a sense of humour will get you everywhere! • Check your Inbox on the site on a regular basis. There may be messages waiting there that you're not aware of because maybe you have a "spam guard" in place on your personal email that is keeping our email notices from reaching you. You can set your personal email to recognize email from us so you won't miss future notices. Check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or personal email service if you have any questions. Remember, for the other person to see your email and who its from they must also be a subscriber. |
